Packing for a fly fishing day in Bariloche starts with your comfort outdoors. Sunshine, wind and cooler moments can all be part of the same trip. On our guided fishing day trips, equipment is available when required, so you do not need to travel with a complete fishing setup to join us.

Clothing and personal essentials

Bring comfortable layers, a warm outer layer and a rain jacket. A hat and sunglasses are useful on the water, where light reflects from the surface. Sunscreen and lip balm also belong in your day bag. Choose footwear for the agreed activity and check with us before packing bulky items.

Whether you are floating the Limay River or wading the Pichi Leufú, your destination helps shape the final list. A day exploring lakes or rivers near Bariloche may involve different time in a boat and on the bank. Keep personal items together in a small bag and protect anything that should stay dry.

Fishing equipment and longer trips

We can provide rods, reels and flies, along with waders and wading boots when needed. Tell us your sizes beforehand. If you prefer your own tackle, our local guiding team can help you choose what suits the planned water.

For beginner fly fishers, this makes the first trip easier to arrange. Drinks and food depend on the format: compare the inclusions for half-day and full-day trips.

An overnight fishing expedition needs a separate personal packing plan. Read what to expect on a fishing expedition and confirm the final list with us before traveling.
