The Manso offers a different setting from the open steppe of the Limay. Native forest reaches the riverbank, clear pools alternate with runs and riffles, and the float becomes part of the experience.
This private full-day trip gives you time for the journey from Bariloche, a morning and afternoon of guided fishing, and an Argentine lunch beside the water. Your guide selects the approach for the river level and the fishing conditions.
Our Manso float trips operate from November through late January, while water levels allow. Brown, rainbow and brook trout provide a variety of fishing possibilities in a landscape of forest and mountains.

Leave Bariloche with your guide
Pickup is at your accommodation. Allow for the longer transfer to the Manso; we confirm the meeting time and logistics before departure.

Begin the float
Prepare your gear and fish the river’s pools, runs and riffles. The guide adapts the techniques to the water and your experience.
- At midday
Lunch beside the water
Enjoy appetizers, grilled Argentine steak, salads, dessert and Malbec wine. We can accommodate dietary needs with advance notice.

Fish through the afternoon
Continue exploring the river before the return transfer to Bariloche. The final schedule depends on the stretch, conditions and logistics.

When can I book a Manso float trip?
Our operating period is November through late January, subject to suitable river levels. We confirm conditions and availability for your dates.
Why does the Manso cost more?
The Manso trip includes a USD 70 supplement for the distance and logistics, added to the USD 530 full-day rate. The total is USD 600 for one or two anglers.
Can I do a half day on the Manso?
We offer the Manso as a full-day trip because of the journey and logistics. Our half-day option operates on the Limay River.
What kind of fishing can I expect?
We fish from a raft or cataraft and stop to wade where conditions allow. Streamers, nymphs and dry flies are used according to the season and the water.
Is the trip suitable for a first-time fly fisher?
Yes. Tell us your experience and any mobility requirements when enquiring so we can recommend an appropriate outing and provide the instruction you need.
