You do not need a full day to experience fly fishing in Patagonia. Our half-day outing takes you from your accommodation in Bariloche to the Limay River for a private morning with a local guide.
We keep half-day trips on the Limay to make the most of your time on the water. The clear current, open steppe and changing riverbanks create a very different view of the region from the one you see on the road.
If this is your first time, your guide helps with casting, handling the line and presenting the fly. Experienced anglers can make the most of a shorter visit with a guide who knows where to focus the morning.

From your accommodation to the river
How your day unfolds.
We organize the transfers, equipment and fishing, so you can settle into the experience.

Pickup in Bariloche
Your guide meets you at your accommodation. We confirm the meeting time and prepare the equipment for the morning.
- Around 9:30 AM
Your first casts on the Limay
We get on the water and work on the fishing that suits the conditions. Instruction is part of the outing whenever you need it.

Follow the river
Fish from the boat and, where conditions allow, stop at suitable places to wade. Your guide adjusts the flies and approach as the morning develops.
- Around 2:30 PM
Back at your accommodation
After fishing, enjoy a snack before the return transfer. Lunch is not included, leaving the rest of the afternoon for your plans.

Is a half day suitable for beginners?
Yes. Your guide provides patient instruction and adapts the morning to your experience. You do not need to bring your own fishing equipment.
How long is the excursion?
Allow approximately six hours including transfers. The usual plan is pickup around 8:00 AM, fishing from about 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and return around 2:30 PM. Times are approximate.
Is lunch included?
No. The half-day trip includes drinks and a snack at the end of the outing. Choose the full-day trip if you would like the riverside lunch experience.
Can I choose another river for a half-day trip?
Our half-day outings operate on the Limay River to keep transfers manageable. For the Manso and other destinations, explore our full-day options.
Can one person book the trip?
Yes. The published trip price is the total for one or two anglers with a private guide and boat.
